INITIAL CHALLENGES.

The World Science Festival set an ambitious revenue goal for online bookings. The existing journey — homepage to program page to search to booking - created unnecessary friction, risking drop-offs before visitors reached the core experience. The challenge was to completely rethink how audiences discovered and booked events, removing distractions while still supporting marketing and storytelling needs.

STRATEGIC APPROACH.

We stripped the experience down to its essentials, making the homepage the program page to deliver immediate engagement and faster booking paths. This zero-click access model removed barriers to conversion while maintaining a rich, responsive interface optimised for all devices. Behind the scenes, we built a sophisticated curation system, enabling the client to create themed event collections that could be marketed directly - driving deeper engagement and opening new opportunities for targeted digital campaigns.
